From the IUCN Red List Species Account:   Range Description This species is known only from the type locality, on the northern Cordillera Central, at Valdivia, in Antioquia Department, Colombia, at around 1,100m asl. It might occur more widely. Habitat and Ecology It is a subterranean species, occurring in humid tropical forest. Population There is no information on its population status; it is known only from a few specimens. Population Trend Unknown Major Threats Deforestation is a potential threat to it, but there is not enough information to confirm this. Conservation Actions It is in need of taxonomic review (Wilkinson pers. comm.). Taxonomic Notes The taxonomic status of this species is unclear.
