Notes Recorded at approximately 9 PM; salamander was retrieved from the moss-covered rock face of a steep hillside; the salamander vocalized once while being handled; skies partly cloudy, winds calm; humidity was not measured, but rain occurred early the following morning; Recording gear: Sennheiser MKH-30 and MKH-40 microphones in a stereo MS pattern to a Sound Devices 722 recorder.
