Description
Member of the Centrolene peristictum group with the following combination of characters: 1) vomerine dentition absent, 2) snout truncated when viewed dorsally and laterally, 3) skin finley granular, almost smooth, 4) ulnar/tarsal folds absent, 5) humeral spine conical and curved to 40º, 6) tympanum large. Medium sized adults reaching 19.4mm SVL; head slightly wider than long (head width is 35.6% SVL); distance from nostril to eye is 56.7% diameter of eye (eye is 48.4% length of head); tympanum is 26.7% diameter of eye; tibial length is 54.6% SVL; when hind limb adpressed anteriorly the ankle slightly passes the snout.

Only known from its type locality at the departament of Nariño, county of Tumaco, La Guayacana, Litoral Pacífico, 1° 49. 8´ Latitude N, 78° 46. 2´ W of Greenwich, 100 m.
