Range Description

This species can be found in the Serra do Mar in the states of Paraná and Santa Catarina, Brazil, from 800-1,000m asl.

Habitat and Ecology

This is a terrestrial species that occurs in leaf-litter in rainforest. It probably lays eggs on the ground where larvae hatch and develop, away from water.

Population

Its population status is unknown. It was last collected in 2003.

Major Threats

Habitat loss due to deforestation arising from agricultural development and logging is a major threat.

Conservation Actions

This species occurs in municipal parks that do not offer much protection. The creation of new protected areas is therefore needed.
