Range Description

This species is known only from the type locality, Chapada dos Veadeiros, in the municipality of Alto Paraíso de Goiás, in Goiás State, Brazil, at 1,200m asl.

Habitat and Ecology

It is found along streams, in which it breeds, in gallery forests, and probably does not adapt well to anthropogenic disturbance.

It is not an uncommon species.

The type locality is within a protected area.

Taxonomic Notes

This species was previously within the genus Hyla but has recently been moved to the resurrected genus Hypsiboas (Faivovich et al. 2005).
