Range Description

This taxon is known only from the type locality of Monte Duida, at 610m asl, in Amazonas Department in Venezuela.

Habitat and Ecology

The habitat and ecological requirements of this species are not known, but it presumably breeds in water by larval development.

Its population status is not known.

Taxonomic Notes

This species was previously placed in the family Centrolenidae in the genus Centrolene, but has recently been moved to the resurrected genus Hypsiboas in the family Hylidae (Faivovich et al. 2005).
