This species is restricted to the central and western parts of Namibia.
Habitat and Ecology
It is a species of very dry semi-desert areas, where it is associated with rock outcrops. It breeds in temporary rock pools.
It is reasonably common in suitable habitat.
It occurs in a habitat that is not significantly threatened, so this species is unlikely to be at risk, except to some extent by overgrazing by livestock.
It occurs in the Namibia Desert National Park, and probably in several other protected areas.
