Range Description

This species is widely distributed in the Llanos of eastern Colombia at 200-880m asl, and has recently been recorded from the amazonian lowlands and eastern slopes of Andean Venezuela, from around 100-300m asl.

Habitat and Ecology

It is a species of moist grassland, pastureland and savannahs near waterbodies. It reproduces in seasonal and permanent pools.

It is a common species.
