Coast and ranges of eastern Australia. From about the central coast of Queensland to the central coast of New South Wales. The extent of occurrence of the species is approximately 222400 km2

Life History, Abundance, Activity, and Special Behaviors
Found mostly in open forest with a grassy understorey. Has been found around lakes in tall shrubland. Breeds after spring and summer rains in grassy depressions that are temporarily flooded. Males call from bare ground. Larvae are unknown.

Trends and Threats
No known declines and extent of occurrence >20,000km2.

Threats
Habitat loss around south-eastern Queensland and to a lesser extent north-eastern New South Wales.

Conservation Measures
None in place.
