This species is known only from the central coastal portion of Cape York Peninsula in Queensland, Australia. Its extent of occurrence is approximately 48,000km2.
Habitat and Ecology
An inhabitant of open grassland, it is a summer breeder. Males call after heavy rainfall whilst floating in temporary, shallow puddles in grassy depressions. Spawn and tadpoles are unknown.
There are no known threats to this species.
