This species is known from a few localities in Cauca Department on the western slope of the Cordillera Occidental, in Colombia, from 800-1,580m asl. It probably occurs more widely.
Habitat and Ecology
It is active on low vegetation on slopes inside primary forest, and breeds by direct development.
This is thought to be an uncommon species as it has only been collected a few times, although the area is not well sampled.
Habitat loss caused by the cultivation of illegal crops is a major threat to this species.
Its range is adjacent to Parque Nacional Natural Munchique, but it has not been recorded from inside the park.
