This species is known only from lowland forest in Colonia (a rural settlement), Loreto, in northern Peru. It might range more widely and is present below 20m asl.
Habitat and Ecology
This area is a flooding forest with close canopy and wide leaves. It is a species that breeds by direct development. It is not known if the species can occur in degraded habitat.
The population is unknown. Ten individuals were used to describe this species.
This is largely unknown species. In the vicinity there is a general loss of habitat through agriculture, harvesting of wood, colonisation and oil exploration.
This area has been proposed as Priority by Conservation of Biodiversity (Rodriguez, 1996).
